King Ranch DIY Camp--GMU 071
This camp is on 640 acres of private property, surrounded by San Juan National Forest that is non-motorized and hard for public hunter to access. This is a deluxe tent camp, with a trapper's cabin with full kitchen setup and bunk and an additional wall tent if needed, all you should need is your personal gear and food. This camp is setup for groups of 3 to 5 hunters. Your group will get to drive into the camp on a private road, have your vehicles in camp but from there all hunting and game retrieval will be on foot.

Wilderness or Non-Motorized area Drop Camps--GMU 071
We offer drop camps in the Lizard Head Wilderness area and in a non-motorized area of unit 71, this is through a special use permit with the USFS. The camp will be accessed using horses and mules. The camp setup will put you in the middle of some of the most amazing country and right in the middle of the elk. Camps will include everything you need for your hunt but will be simple and functional. We will provide everything you should need except your own food, hunting gear, and sleeping gear. We do provide pack out service as well as part of the hunt cost. We have 1 camp setup for groups of 3-4 hunters and separate camp for groups of 1-2 hunters. We are currently just offering these camps for archery and muzzleloader seasons.
