These hunts are for Elk, Mule Deer, Moose, and Black Bear and are all guided. We offer 2-1, 5 day options below but
can accommodated 1-1 and 7 day hunts if wanted. Some seasons have over the counter tags and others are draw tags, all
mule deer and moose hunts are draw only. We can accommodate group up to 6 during most season.
Willow Creek Hunts--GMU 421
This hunt is a traditional public land hunt in the Grand Mesa National Forest under a special use permit from the USFS. This is a tent camp hunt, 5 miles from the trailhead accessed by SXS and ATV. We have an extensive knowledge of this area that translates to higher than normal public land success. We hunt elk, mule deer, moose, and black bear in this area and offer archery, muzzleloader, and rifle options. Bear hunts can be added on for a $500 kill fee but no charge unless a bear is harvested. This area is draw for an either sex archery elk (new 2023) and draw for 1st Rifle bull or cow elk.

Rico Camp Hunts--GMU 071
This hunt is a high country/back country public land hunt in the San Juan National Forest under special use permit from the USFS. We have tent camp and cabin accommodations available. This area is part non-motorized and part Wilderness area which limits access unless you know the area well. We hunt mostly on foot and do use horses/mules if needed. This area has been draw for archery elk since 2020 and has a growing elk population. Archery bull elk tags and 1st rifle tags bull elk can be drawn with zero points, but tag numbers are limited. Muzzleloader bull elk take 1 point to draw. The mule deer quality in this unit is really good but does take a few years to get a tag. This area is steep and rugged but holds a lot of quality animals.

Cortez Mule Deer Hunts--GMU 072/073
This hunt is on 2500+ acres of private land and is for trophy mule deer. This hunt is on some premier country located near Mesa Verde National Park and also has farm fields that attract a lot of deer to hunt. This hunt is for 150"-170" trophy mule deer with 180"+ deer possible. All mule deer tags are by draw in Colorado, but we will have some landowner voucher available at client cost. This hunt can either be fully outfitted with lodging and meals or a hunt only option is available.
